Mininter: People who receive fines for going out on Sundays will have up to 5 days to pay them

This was indicated by the Minister of the Interior, Jorge Montoya, who specified that people who do not comply with the immobilization order will be taken to the police stations. He added that this does not mean that they will not pay the fine.

“People who leave without authorization and without permission will be detained and taken to the corresponding police stations. This does not exempt the payment of the fine for which, citizens have 5 days to make that payment“, He said at a press conference.

The fines for those who go out on the street and are detained during Sundays of mandatory total immobilization They range from 2% to 10% of a Tax Tax Unit (UIT), that is, it would go from S / 86 to S / 743, depending on the severity.

In addition, the National Police of Peru will apply fines to those people who travel with their vehicles during Sunday. The amount of this financial penalty could reach up to S / 6 450.

Minister Montoya also indicated that they will work together with the Armed forces to carry out operations and interventions in the streets in order to guarantee that the measure ordered by the Government is complied with. In case the citizen refuses to pay the fine will be prohibited from signing any type of civil contract or notarial act, they will not be able to carry out banking procedures or at the National Superintendency of Public Records (Sunarp) nor go abroad.
