By reason of wanting to be more environmentally friendly, Apple decided to get rid of charger and the earphones that are usually always in the box iPhone. Now, both the iPhone 12 and the older generation iPhone that are still being marketed will be sold in a much more minimalist packaging.
A video circulating on Twitter showing what the new version of the iPhone packaging looks like, which doesn’t contain a charger or earphones. Shared by DuanRui’s account on Twitter, the packaging that appears is said to contain an iPhone 11, but it is likely the same shape for the iPhone 12.
The short video shows that the iPhone box is now much smaller than before, aka minimalist. Since the iPhone 12 is only slightly smaller than the iPhone 11, by just millimeters, the packaging is likely the same size as that.

Missing charger and earphones from the package iPhone 12 raises a sound of pros and cons. Most of the cons, of course, think that having bought an iPhone at a high price, but still having to buy the charger separately is a disappointment.
Apple’s Vice President Environmental, Social and Policy Initiatives Lisa Jackson said that apart from cutting production costs, the new policy will also make Apple more environmentally friendly by reducing waste.
“We hope others will follow suit, making this impact even greater for our planet,” Jackson said of Apple’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
Some parties are worried that Apple’s steps will be imitated by other cellphone vendors. But so far, this anxiety has not been proven. In fact, Xiaomi insinuated Apple about its new policy.
