(ANSA) – LONDON, DEC 30 – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said there will be tens of millions of doses of the vaccine in Britain by the end of March but did not want to specify the numbers.
“We are moving heaven and earth to distribute them as soon as possible,” said the prime minister at a press conference.
“The scientific committee assured us that the first doses of the vaccine protect against the worst effects of the coronavirus and begin to take effect in 4-5 weeks. Therefore, we have decided to give the first dose to as many people as possible and then the second dose after three months, “he said.
On the other hand, Johnson spoke about the return to classes in the midst of the pandemic and assured that the reopening of schools in areas of Great Britain where the situation due to the coronavirus is most critical will be postponed to January 18, he clarified . (ANSA).
