Millau, Aveyron – An awareness campaign focused on reducing waste and improving sorting practices took place at the Millau market on Friday, September 26th, providing valuable information to local residents.
Understanding Local Sorting Guidelines
Representatives from Sydom Aveyron were on hand to educate market-goers on effective waste sorting techniques. The fundamental rules remain consistent: all packaging and paper products should be placed in yellow collection containers, ensuring items are not nested inside one another.
While pre-washing containers isn’t required,itS crucial to empty them completely before disposal.
From Yellow Bag to Recycling: The Journey of Aveyron’s Waste
Many residents are curious about what happens to their waste after it’s collected. In Aveyron, all packaging and paper collected through the yellow bag system is transported to Ecotri, a sorting facility located in Millau. At Ecotri, materials are meticulously sorted by type and then shipped to specialized recycling factories for processing and reuse.
