The Italian A-series football club “Milan” will be forced to do without goalkeeper Janluidji Donnarumma, who was diagnosed with Covid-19 on Monday, the team reports.

The team announced the bad news on Monday, saying the goalkeeper would not be able to take part in the next three Milan games due to illness.

Milan will play with Roma on Monday night, meet with Prague’s Sparta in the UEFA Europa League group tournament on Thursday, and a duel with Udinese is planned for the weekend.

Norwegian footballer Jens Peter Haug and three other people have also been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the team.

The Italian rules on Covid-19 stipulate that asymptomatic Covid-19 patients must be quarantined for ten days, but this may only be lifted if a negative test result is obtained.

Donnarumma is expected to return to the square on November 5, when the Milan team will meet with the French “Lille” in the European League tournament.

Milan is the only team in the Italian A-Series that has not lost this year. The Milaners are in the first place after four games with 12 points, but the victory over “AS Roma” on Monday would allow the closest followers to be four points ahead.
