Before the match between PGE Skra Bełchatów and Jastrzębski Węgiel, which started the competition in the jubilee tournament on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Bełchatów club, there was a nice celebration. The Iranian host of PGE Skra, Milad Ebadipour, received from Ryszard Czarnecki the “Act of granting Polish citizenship”.
Ebadipour is the representative of Iran. He was born in 1993 in the city of Urmia. Since 2017, he has been a player of PGE Skra Bełchatów, with which he won, among others the Polish Championship (2018) and two Super Cups (2017, 2018). He is also the main player for the Iran national team.

Granting Polish citizenship does not mean, however, that Ebadipur will be treated as a national player in PlusLiga competitions. We would like to remind you that according to the regulations in force, in the PlusLiga competition, at least three domestic players must be on the pitch at any time of the match. This is stated in paragraph 52, point two of the Professional Competition Regulations, and clearly states: “During League matches each team participating in the match must have at least 3 National Players on the court at any time during the game”. Polish passport incl. is to facilitate the player’s travel.
The volleyball player received the “Act of granting Polish citizenship” from the vice-president of the Polish Volleyball Federation, Ryszard Czarnecki, before the match of PGE Skra with Jastrzębski Węgiel. Both teams faced each other in the jubilee tournament celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Bełchatów club.
We confirm and he received the official letter from his hands before the match @r_czarnecki 👏
It was just a formality, because Milad has been feeling great in Poland from the very beginning! 🇵🇱@prezydentpl @Grupa_PGE #PGE # 90latSkry https://t.co/cXAvgYiP3t
