Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson returns to the ring for a spectacular match against former world champion in four different weights Roy Jones Jr.

The match is scheduled for September 12 in Los Angeles.

The last professional game for Tyson, 54, was in 2005, when he was defeated by Irishman Kevin McBride. This was his sixth loss of a total of 58 fights in his professional career.

His last fellow countryman, 51, was in February 2018, when he beat Scott Sigmon.

The California Sports Committee has approved the match, which will be made from 8 rounds and will be broadcast via pay-per-view service.

Tyson had become the world’s youngest heavyweight champ at the age of 20, when he defeated Trevor Burbeek in 1986.

He recently fueled rumors of his return to the boxing circuit, when he posted a video on social media showing him during exercises.

In 2006, Tyson participated in a number of four-game show matches against Cory Sanders, as he needed the money back then after his bankruptcy in 2003.

There was recently talk of a fight between Tyson and his former rival Evander Holyfield, who retired in 2014.

Holyfield, 57, won his two matches in the 1990s, including the famous confrontation in 1997, when Tyson was excluded because of his opponent’s ear biting.

During his sporting career, Jones Jr. won world titles in medium, light weight, light heavy, and heavy weight.
