TDespite the efforts of the past few years, the federal government has not yet succeeded in putting sufficient pressure on the most important countries of origin of foreigners who have immigrated through the asylum system without any authorization, in quickly issuing travel documents and no longer blocking deportations.
This is also why rejected asylum seekers and foreigners who are obliged to leave the country for other reasons – such as criminal offenses or the expiry of their work visa – remain in the country. There are three important incentives for people who are not entitled to stay to not comply with their obligation to leave Germany.
