Microsoft will soon introduce new office subscriptions for private users

Microsoft today started sending invitations to an online event to select journalists. The event on March 30th, however, will probably not be about new Surface products, as one might assume due to the timing.

Rather, according to the Microsoft specialistMary-Jo Foleythe so-called Microsoft 365 Life Services are the focus of interest. The software company will probably use this name to offer a new variant of its online subscriptions for all kinds of office products and other services.

Known apps in new packages

Microsoft only says in the invitation that it wants to show potential customers how to be more productive in work, family and private life. As early as December, the first relevant information appeared, according to which the Redmond company was actually alreadyDeveloper conference BUILDWanted to talk about it in 2019.

Later, however, they decided to postpone it. With some probability, the new offer will not bring any major innovations anyway. Microsoft will presumably again want to offer the already known office products and the associated online services in different versions and a number of price levels.

The price is unlikely to change, so Office 365 Home will continue to sell under a different name for around 100 euros andOffice 365 staffshould be sold for around 70 euros. Among other things, you want to include things like a password manager in the future in order to appeal to normal average users.

According to Foley, it is also conceivable that Microsoft will also introduce a kind of “Teams for Life”. This special variant of Microsoft Teams is said to be offered to end customers, although it is still unclear whether the Redmond company will also use the appointment at the end of March for its presentation.
