Microsoft releases Surface Duo in the Netherlands for 1565 euros – Tablets and phones – News

Microsoft released its Android phone Surface Duo on Tuesday in the Netherlands. The smartphone with two screens is available from 1564.89 euros. The Surface Duo was already released in the US last year and the phone also appeared in France and Germany in February.

On the Dutch website from Microsoft, the tech giant announces the smartphone for the Dutch market. For a long time it was unclear whether the telephone would also come to the Netherlands. At the moment it is still unknown whether the smartphone will also appear in the rest of the Benelux

Microsoft offers the Surface Duo in two variants. The cheapest variant costs EUR 1,564.89 and has 128GB of storage space. The version with 256GB of storage space costs 1664.11 euros. The phone is currently being sold through resellers targeting business customers.

The Surface Duo came out in the US on September 10 last year. Reviewers were at the release critical about the smartphone. Apps would be slow and unable to handle the two screens properly. In addition, the telephone would not be pleasant to call.

According to rumors Microsoft is also working on a successor to the Surface Duo. The successor should be released in the fall of 2021 and feature 5G support, which is missing from the current model.
