Microsoft released Windows File Recovery data recovery tool

Windows File Recovery is a free command line tool that enables Windows 10 to recover accidentally deleted files.

Microsoft has a free tool called in its store Windows File Recovery released. It is a simple command line program that can be used to restore files that were accidentally deleted. This requires the use of Windows 10 from version 19041.0.

Windows File Recovery can restore files in the formats JPEG, PDF, PNG, MPEG, Office, MP3 and MP4 as well as ZIP and others, regardless of whether they were stored on an HDD, an SSD, a USB stick or a memory card. The file formats NTFS, FAT, exFAT and ReFS are supported. Microsoft is also hiring operation manual available for the tool.
