Microsoft makes Visual Studio Code available directly in the browser

A preview version of Microsoft’s software development environment Visual Studio Code is now available directly in the browser via, reports Zdnet.

The web version can, for example, be used to browse source code on Github and locally and make minor changes. Because the web version does not have access to a computer’s resources, it is not possible to build, run or debug programs or use the integrated terminal.

To be able to use the web version of Visual Studio Code fully, you need a browser that supports the File System Access programming interface, which is currently Edge and Chrome.
