by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Microsoft⁤ Responds ⁢to User Feedback, Prioritizing New Windows 11 Features

Detak.Media ⁢- Microsoft is ‍actively ⁢seeking direct input from Windows 11 users to shape the future development of the operating system. Through a recent⁣ initiative tied to the Global Hackathon event, the company is soliciting feature requests to improve relevance and optimize daily user experiences.

The call for feedback ⁢was spearheaded by rudy Huyn, Architect partner‍ for Windows and Microsoft store, who shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) ⁤inviting users to share their most desired features.

HuynS involvement is especially ‍encouraging to the Windows community. He gained recognition for championing ‍high-quality third-party applications during the Windows Phone era, ‍effectively ⁣addressing gaps in Microsoft’s official⁤ offerings. His established reputation for prioritizing user experiance‍ lends meaningful weight to his invitation.

User responses to Huyn’s post have highlighted several‍ areas for advancement. A common complaint centers on‍ the ⁤performance of virtual desktops in Windows 11, wiht many users reporting a less fluid experience compared to Windows 10. ⁣ Another frequently requested feature is the ability to view folder sizes directly within File Explorer. Currently, users must either access the Properties tab for each folder or‌ create a compressed archive – a method that alters ‍the reported ⁤size due to compression.

Responding to this feedback,Huyn labeled the folder size request as “Very Good Feedback,” signaling a strong likelihood that the feature will be natively integrated into a future Windows 11 update. This news is welcomed by users seeking ‌more efficient file and folder management without relying on workarounds.

Microsoft’s ⁣increased responsiveness to user input is‍ fostering optimism for the continued evolution of Windows⁢ 11, with hopes that⁤ essential and highly-requested features will be incorporated in⁢ upcoming releases.
