Microsoft is focused on bringing more third-party games to Game Pass

Phil Spencer claims they have “surprises to announce” regarding Game Pass.

Game Pass is one of the most important assets of Microsoft, both for the present with Xbox One and PC and for the future with Xbox Series X. The subscription service that allows us to access a wide catalog of games quickly and directly is, for many, decisive when opting for a console. From the Redmond company they know this and want to strengthen their advantage.

Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, recently posted a tweet talking about the service, and about the idea they have to try bring all possible third party games service. Every time the Game Pass catalog is updated, new games are added; titles like Resident Evil 7 o Crusader Kings III are some of the next to enter. But it seems they want to go further.

Spencer does not specify much more about it, but hints that they intend to increase the number of third party games in the Game Pass catalog the day they come out as a novelty. The titles of the Microsoft division, i.e. the company’s first party games, are always available on launch day, without the service subscribers having to pay more or even buy the games; just have an active account known as the “Netflix of video games.”

From Xbox they have said that they still have “some great announcements about Game Pass”, in relation to games that will reach the service. It seems that the catalog of third party games will continue to grow and it is an aspect that can be decisive in the Xbox Series X launch. At the moment, Microsoft is reserving some letters, since we are waiting for the price and the launch date of the new console of the xbox family.
