Microsoft Flight Simulator takes ages to download, but this won’t affect your Steam / CD-Action refund options

I will not go so far as to call the new Flight Simulator a hit (even if the reviews indicate it), but in recent days it has undoubtedly aroused surprisingly much interest for the species it represents. Even I – a complete layman when it comes to flying – have been watching new gameplays with longing, envious Krigore for his adventures with the game. Well, another excuse to replace your computer!

Flight Simulator has recently also been talked about because of the developers’ decision to put only a 532 MB launcher on Steam. When we run the title, we must first download the remaining 127 GB – and the fun counter beats inexorably. This aroused understandable anxiety among some users: after two hours of play, Valve’s platform no longer allows automatic refunds. The company decided to clarify the situation:

The time taken for your gear to download additional content will not be counted under the Steam Refund Policy. We’re working with Microsoft to see if we can somehow improve the download quality.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on Steam and in Microsoft Store (also as part of the Xbox Game Pass).

And as a bonus, another lovely trailer:
