Microsoft equips Office for iPad with mouse support this year – Computer – News

Microsoft Office for the iPad will receive support for using track pads and mice later this year. Support has been around in iOS for a while, and now Microsoft plans to update its office suite to be compatible with it.

Support for cursors in Microsoft’s Office suite is expected to come this year. According to The Verge is said to be against “autumn”. The exact date is not yet known. The support would come in both the individual apps Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as in the summarized Office app available since earlier this year.

Users should be at least on iOS version 13.0 for mouse support, or iOS 13.4 for trackpad support on Apple’s Magic Keyboard keyboards. The feature also works with the Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2, as well as third-party mice and trackpads.
