Microsoft Announces $ 500 Premium Headphones

Microsoft y Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal Headphones announced, headphones that aim to be part of the highest range for the casual audience. The headset comes with a USB-C cable, charger, and a manual and has primarily been advertised as wireless headphones with up to 24 hours of continuous use.

These are part of the program Designed for Xbox Limited Series that Microsoft announced a few months ago. At the time we saw the Bang & Olufsen logo among the brands chosen by Microsoft and now the Danish company is the first to offer a product for this exclusive program.

The three versions of the headphones are: Black Anthracite, Gray Mist, and Navy Brass. the first They are already on sale for 500 dollars at Microsoft’s North American store, while the others are only pre-purchased and will begin shipping to buyers at the end of April.

The headphones have a specific application by Bang & Olufsen that allows you to customize the balance between game and voice chat, as well as modify the volume and sound of the games depending on their genre. They connect to the Xbox with a wireless connection, while for a PC you will need the Microsoft adapter (sold separately) or via bluetooth and aptX Adaptive.

As for what they look like and the aesthetics as such, Bang & Alufsen defines them as devices that “combine Scandinavian aesthetics and that of the world of video games.” The headset was designed by Jakob Wagner in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen and they offer “mattresses that are worn over the ear that facilitate the cancellation of external noise.”
