This is the reason for the player’s absence this weekend during the match against Brighton.
Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew revealed on his Twitter account that he tested positive for coronavirus.
The 29-year-old Ghanaian international is asymptomatic and says he is in good health. The former Olympique de Marseille footballer has been placed in quarantine. Absent from the group Sunday against Brighton and Hove Albion (1-1, 5th day of the Premier League), Jordan Ayew will not be able to take his place for the trip to Fulham, next Saturday, counting for the 6th day of the Premier League.
Sadly, I have tested positive for Covid-19 & have begun my quarantine in line with the health guidance.
Thankfully, I am feeling fine & do not have any symptoms ????????
I will be cheering the boys on from home & look forward to being back on the pitch soon ????????????????
Stay safe ????????♥️
