Munich – The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. A very classic statement when it comes to similarities between father and son. That sentence should Mick Schumacher heard at a young age. His talent in Motorsport was recognized quite early.
And his father is the seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher. After his serious ski accident in 2013, he is still in rehab. Little is known about the true state of health. Also because the family consciously protects the privacy of the Formula 1 legend.
Now son is standing Mick before his next sporting step. In the Formula 2 season, which will probably start in July, the 21-year-old wants to compete for the title – and soon also in the Motorsport premier class to make one’s rounds.

However, he does not feel pressure because of his surname, he makes it himself: “To be honest, I do not feel pressure to bear this family name or do exactly what my father did,” writes Mick: “Most of the stress comes from what I put on myself. Thinking about what I did wrong and how I can improve. “
