Micha ready-to-wear boutique in Niort prepares for reopening

Micha is a clothing store in downtown Niort, in Deux-Sèvres. 30 m², all in length. Dominique Parlot, the manager, took advantage of the confinement to give a fresh paint job. And review its organization with a view to reopening. It will not be May 11 for her, rather May 13 or 14 because she is waiting for arrivals.

Direction of traffic and mask mandatory for the client

“We were totally disturbed when we were told to close and there we are also disturbed because we are resuming but we don’t really know how”, says the merchant from Niort. The counter has been moved to the entrance to have more space. A plexiglass will be mounted.

“We are going to create a direction of circulation with entry and exit. There will be disinfectant gel in the cabins, we will pass disinfectant product throughout the shop about every two hours. We have masks, visors. And for the customer who returns will be required mask “, details Dominique Parlot.

A priori each garment tested cannot be put back on the shelf, it will have to be “confined”

In the store there are two fairly spaced cubicles. For trying on the clothes, Dominique Parlot is waiting for the instructions. “A priori each garment tested cannot be put back on the shelf, it will have to be confined”. Except that in the shop, “It’s complicated, I don’t know yet how I’m going to manage this, but we will find a solution. We will try to favor the sale without fitting, even if it means having feedback that we will confine behind”, specifies the manager.

Even with all these conditions, reopening is “capital. There, already I don’t really know how we’re going to get out of it. The aid is what it is. Two months without working, it’s a colossal loss of turnover, 45,000 euros”.

A recovery that still has many unknowns, believes Dominique Parlot, who employs a part-time employee. “We have no idea if customers will be there. And then opening our stores without the restaurants, without the terraces … it’s complicated”.
