While we’re still on one in this country global version of the Mi Watch wait, you have a kids edition ready in China: that comes in one normal and one Pro variant to the Chinese market. On the front, both versions come with a 1.78 inch (4.52 cm) large AMOLED panel, which has a resolution of 368 × 448 pixels. That is protected by the use of Gorilla Glass 3. The smartwatch should also be waterproof, because Xiaomi praises this also for swimming use.
Hardly any further information is given about the normal version, but the Pro Smartwatch is operated by a Snapdragon Wear 2500. An adapted Android version (possibly like the Mi Watch: Wear OS) is used as the operating system. This is supported by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of memory.
Both versions are also equipped with an eSIM, a 4G module, Bluetooth 4.2, as well as Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC. A loudspeaker and a microphone are also available for autonomous communication. Both versions are supported by a battery with a capacity of 920 mAh to supply the smartwatch with electricity. Somewhat unusual for a smartwatch: The Mi Kids Watch 4 has one camera, more precisely 2 cameras – a 5 megapixel camera on the front and an 8 megapixel camera which is directed upwards.
For the Mi Kids Watch 4 in pink and blue, you have to shell out 899 yuan, while the Pro variant costs 1299 yuan in the same color range.
