“Meu Timão Reports on Six Corinthians Players Selected for Brazilian Women’s National Team”

In preparation for the 2023 World Cup, coach Pia Sundhage called up the Brazilian Women’s National Team this Monday, for the Fifa Date in April. The selected group will play in the Women’s Final against England and the friendly against Germany. Corinthians is the club that provided the most athletes in the entire call-up, with six names.

The Corinthians players summoned to represent the Brazilian National Team were: Lelê, Tarciane, Yasmin, Tamires, Duda Sampaio and Gabi Portilho. It is worth mentioning that the last two were not being summoned by Pia and now return among the selected ones – see full call below.

Brazil’s first match will take place on April 6, where it will face England, in London, for the Finalissima dispute, which is disputed by the Copa América and Eurocopa teams. The Brazilian team returns to the field on the 11th, when it will face Germany, in a friendly match to be held in Nuremberg, at the home of the rivals.

With the call-up, Timão’s Brabas should not miss out on the alvinegra team. In the FIFA date period, the Brazilian Championship will not have rounds that will be played. In fact, Corinthians was the team with the most representatives in the call-up.

The Brazilian national team is in the final process of preparing for this year’s Women’s World Cup. The World Cup will be played between July 20 and August 20, being held for the first time in two host countries: New Zealand and Australia.
