Saturday evening Depart XXL was officially opened in Kortrijk. ‘Sound of Noise’, a metal festival from the same organizers as Alcatraz, was the first to test the corona-proof event square. Check it out in the video above.

Kortrijk was the first city in Flanders to work on a permanent corona-proof event square. There is room for 1,200 visitors and everything is corona-proof. The audience must remain seated and are assigned a seat in bubbles of a maximum of four people.
The Sixth Metal and Brihang had to open Depart XXL on the weekend of September 26, but storm Odette had put a stop to that.
