German Chancellor Angela Merkel said it was necessary to agree with the Taliban on the resumption of the evacuation from Afghanistan, Reuters reported.
“We need to talk to the Taliban about how we can take people who worked for Germany out of this country to a safe place,” Merkel quoted the agency as saying.
The Chancellor called it a good sign that the Kabul airport is again available for flights since yesterday.
According to her, international organizations should also be able to improve the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
