Mercedes B-Class: it’s time for restyling for her too

A RESTYLING THAT IMPROVES IT – The minivan Mercedes B-Class is renewed by proposing various aesthetic innovations and at the level of interior technology and equipment. Aesthetically it is distinguished by a body with fluid and enveloping lines, with a revised front and which features new LED headlights and a redesigned bumper and grille. The four new alloy wheel models with dimensions of up to 19 inches, including high-gloss black painted light-alloy wheels with multi-spoke design and high-gloss piping for the AMG Line, lend character and sportiness to the car. At the rear, the new headlights with standard LED technology and the aerodynamic spoilers applied to the sides of the rear window stand out, able to improve aerodynamics. The new B-Class is available in ten different solid, metallic or special paint finishes.

WHAT CHANGES INSIDE – The interior of the renovated Mercedes B-Class they are rational and technological, thanks to the presence of the dual-screen display consisting of the 7-inch instrument panel and the 10.25-inch main unit, which are standard (optional version with two 10.25-inch displays). Internally it is also possible to notice the three round turbine-shaped air vents, typical of Mercedes, which represent a tribute to the world of aviation. The new design of the center console is particularly minimal and elegant, thanks to the Black Panel finish. The new nappa leather steering wheel is standard. As per tradition, the possibilities for customization are wide. The multimedia system is now compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless and also features fingerprint recognition to identify the driver, which will be available from 2023.

THE EQUIPMENT – In the basic variant of the Mercedes B-Classthe seats have been improved with their three-dimensional embossed Arctic upholstery and improved ergonomics. The Progressive version comes in black, black / stained and the new black / sage gray. In this case, the seats can be upgraded with leather seats in black or bahia brown. The AMG Line is the sportiest version with Arctic / Microcut black interior and contrasting red stitching. Starting with the Progressive trim level, the standard equipment also offers High Performance LED headlights with adaptive high beam assistance system, seat with lumbar support, parking package, mirror package and electro-actuated tailgate.

THE ADAS – Also improves the endowment of driver assistance systemsthanks to the update of the Driver Assistance Package. The available systems include Trailer Manoeuvring Assist, which automatically adjusts the steering angle of the towing vehicle, making reversing maneuvers safer.

> In the central tunnel the physical controls for the multimedia system disappear, which is now operated only from the touch screen.

ALL HYBRID – With the update of the Class B the Mercedes it removes the manual gearbox and updates all the petrol engines, which now feature the mild hybrid system, which provides an additional 48-volt on-board power supply and an increase in power of 13 hp. The plug-in hybrid powertrain now benefits from an improved high-voltage battery, which provides charging power at 3.7 kW (standard). The new battery can now also be charged with alternating current and up to 11 kW, instead of just 7.4 kW as previously.
