France has registered 46 new deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the epidemic to 29,111 since March 1. It’s two more deaths from Thursday. This assessment consists of 18,761 deaths within hospitals and 10,350 in social and medico-social establishments, a figure which has not been updated since June 2, and will be updated again on June 9.
In its statement, the Ministry of Health said that no daily update on the Covid-19 epidemic will be made this weekend.
The number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 infection continues to decline, to 12,696 patients, compared to 13,101 on Thursday, 405 less in 24 hours.
The number of serious cases in intensive care is also down, to 1,094 against 1,163 Thursday (-69).
153,055 confirmed cases
Since the start of the epidemic, 153,055 confirmed cases have been recorded in France. 102,445 people were hospitalized, including 18,061 in intensive care. 70,504 people returned home.
