Diet and Exercise Key to Maintaining Erectile Function, Taiwanese Urologist Advises
TAIPEI, Taiwan – Maintaining a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise can significantly contribute to maintaining erectile function, according to Taiwanese urologist Gu Fangyu. The recommendation comes as erectile dysfunction affects a significant number of men, and proactive health measures are gaining attention as potential solutions.
Gu Fangyu emphasizes the benefits of systemic aerobic exercise in promoting vascular dilation, positively impacting erectile dysfunction. He also notes that while weight training is beneficial for muscle health, its effect on systemic vascular dilation is less pronounced. A Mediterranean diet combined with aerobic exercise is particularly effective in sustaining vascular activity and, consequently, erectile function.
While acknowledging that not all advice is based on large-scale research, Gu Fangyu states that current health knowledge and dietary guidelines support these recommendations. He cautions that consistent, long-term adherence to these habits is crucial for effectively reducing cardiovascular damage and aging, rather than expecting immediate results.
