At the end of last year, the presidential press secretary bought a Suzuki Vitara on credit for 600 thousand hryvnias.
The press secretary of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel has published the income statement for 2020.
So, she declared 684 thousand hryvnias of income (on average 57 thousand per month) as a salary in the Office of the President.
Mendel also declared the purchase of a car on credit worth 606 thousand hryvnia.
In December, she purchased a 2020 Suzuki Vitara.
At the same time, she paid 217 thousand hryvnias for the car from her own funds, and took 389 thousand hryvnias for the purchase on credit for three years.
There are no other changes in the declaration for the year.
It is worth noting that Mendel’s earnings have declined as she declared 936 thousand hryvnia, of which the salary in the EP was only 371 thousand hryvnia, and the rest she earned at the World Bank office in Ukraine and from working as a journalist to being appointed to the EP.
In December 2018, Mendel bought an apartment in Kiev on credit worth 1.2 million hryvnias, of which she took 785 thousand on credit.
