Two memoranda of understanding were signed on Monday in New York between the Council of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region and the American groups Danforth Investors, Global Special Projects and SEC Newgate US, focused on the promotion of American and international investments in this region of the Kingdom. The memorandums were initialed by Region Council Chairman Yanja El Khettat, Danforth Investors Group and Global Special Projects Chairman and CEO Ari Matityahu, and SEC Newgate US Chairman Michael Holtzman. Under these agreements, the signatory parties agree to federate efforts for the promotion of investments in a region endowed with a strategic position in the south of the Kingdom of Morocco, qualified human capital and assets for a real leverage integrated and optimal socio-economic development. The signing of these memorandums of understanding is part of the Morocco-United States Investment Forum, organized last Friday in the American metropolis by the regions of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Guelmim- Oued Noun, in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Distinguished participants, including American businessmen, were treated during this event to presentations rich in detail and figures on the major infrastructure projects that are now the pride of the populations of the southern provinces and which continue to attract more investment. During this meeting, Mr. Matityahu stressed that Morocco, a “stable and advanced” country, now presents itself as a “phenomenal” business destination, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. Noting that the Kingdom offers enormous investment opportunities, particularly in the fields of energy, logistics, tourism, new technologies and agriculture, the American businessman said he was encouraged to do more business with Morocco. The businessman, on this occasion, announced that all the companies in the portfolio of Danforth Investors (35 around the world) are committed to investing in the signatory countries of the historic agreement signed between Morocco, the United and Israel.
