Members of the ATP Players Council for 2021-2022 revealed

Through an official statement, the ATP has just announced the members that will make up its Players Council for the binomial 2021-2022 and according to a vote among the players and members of the ATP. Several current members were re-elected to serve an additional term on the Council. The most notable absence, although also expected, on the other hand, is that of the current number one in the world, the Serbian Novak Djokovic, who last summer resigned precisely from his position as President of this same council with the aim of forming his own association, the PTPA, which initially had the support of several players of the circuit such as the Canadian Vasek Pospisil or the american John Isner.

However, it seems that the Belgrade It has remained in no man’s land, since everything indicates that it does not have enough support to carry out this new association. What is clear is that the Serbian will not be part of the new ATP Players Council, which will elect its new president and vice president in a new meeting that will take place on New Year’s Day.
