You don’t know whether to laugh or cry. While the world is fighting the corona virus, a Bayern professional makes headlines because he drives to training in the wrong car.
Instead of his company car provided by club sponsor Audi, Kingsley Coman appeared during the week with a luxury McLaren model in training. At Audi you are obviously anything but pleased, especially since the Frenchman is not the first Bayern kicker with God who does not abide by the rules of the game.
As «Bild» explains, in 2020 alone, Niklas Süle and Philippe Coutinho, two other players drove to the training area in private cars. The 24-year-old Süle, who is in rehab, was buzzing in the Ferrari, Coutinho in the Mercedes. Oh and then there was Jérôme Boateng, who recently scraped his Mercedes on an illegal trip.
Explosive: Bavaria’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic had already threatened the players with a fine of 50,000 euros if the players drove to the training ground in cars other than those of the sponsor.
Does the presumption of innocence apply to Coman?
The Frenchman was insightful and apologized to the club and the sponsor. «The reason was a damaged wing mirror on my Audi. Nevertheless, it was a mistake, of course I see it, »Coman told the« Bild ». As soon as it was possible again, he wanted to visit the Audi plant in Ingolstadt for an autograph session and “bring some attention to the employees”. We can only hope that by then he will have installed an intact wing mirror again. Otherwise, there is a real super meltdown.
