Medicines against COVID-19 arrived in Ukraine from the USA

Medicines are recommended for mild to moderate COVID patients

The humanitarian cargo consists of 60 thousand bottles of innovative drugs against coronavirus. They will be delivered to the regions of the country.

A humanitarian cargo with medicines intended for the treatment of coronavirus was delivered to Ukraine from the United States. The drugs are provided by the American charity Direct Relief. About it informs Embassy of Ukraine in the USA on Facebook.

“The shipment consists of innovative drugs Bamlanivimab and Etesevimab used against COVID-19. The total value of the shipment reaches USD 20 million. The drugs are recommended for patients with mild to moderate severity of coronavirus disease, especially if there is a risk of becoming severe,” says the message.

The cargo consists of 60 thousand bottles of medicines. Medicines will undergo customs clearance and will be delivered to the regions of Ukraine. Distribution of medicines is coordinated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

That Ukraine will receive 20 thousand bottles of Bamlanivimab and 40 thousand bottles of Etesevimab became known on September 1.

Meanwhile, Pfizer begins human trial of COVID pills… The new drug will be tested on 1,140 adults who do not require hospitalization.
