Aguascalientes.- The top five of the highest demand careers at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes is still headed by the specialty of Medicine, where only a little more than 10% of the students who applied to start the admission process were able to enter.
The top five of the highest demand careers are Medicine, Physical Therapy, Architecture, Law and Stomatology, but also Nursing.
The Secretary General of the UAA, José de Jesús González Hernández, said that this situation is not new, since there have already been several years in which the Medicine career leads the careers of very high demand and where only around 10% or a little more of the students who begin their admission process manage to be accepted at the end of it.
In the previous admission process, 1,344 students applied to study Medicine and only 140 managed to enter, in Architecture 499 students made their application for 100 available places, in Law 452 made their application for 150 places, in Stomatology 388 requested their admission and only 80 were accepted and in Physical Therapy 330 applied for only 50 places.
This represents that the students who manage to enter the Medicine career have an average higher than nine.
But in the same way, the academic pointed out that all the careers in the Health area have a very high demand, which is why Physical Therapy and Nursing also received a very high demand on this occasion to enter them.
Another career that has been in very high demand for several years is Architecture, in such a way that only less than 40% of all applicants manage to enter.
