Medical students of the UAD in Los Mochis denounce improper payments

Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- Students of the medical career of the Autonomous University of Durango (UAD) in Los Mochis they demonstrated this Monday due to a tuition charge that the management of said institution intends to do “unfairly.”

The protesters pointed out that it is a payment contract that they intend to make in which students are obliged to pay for classes that they do not receive since they have already completed the degree.

That is, these students are only in the process of internship and social service and even so they are being required to pay their tuition without even having a classroom or subject to take, threatening them even if they do not pay the more than 180 thousand pesos they will be discharged from the institution.

“The university is imposing us to sign a document in which payment policies are expressed that include paying the tuition corresponding to the two years of internship and social service, in this same document the specific university that it disclaims from the responsibility of the students during that period because it is already the responsibility of the health sector ”, commented one of the students who, out of fear of reprisals, decided to omit her name.

Similarly, the students said that this Monday they started their online classes for the fifth year of the degree; However, because they refused to sign said document, they could not enter the platform to access the subjects.

“They are forcing us to pay 5,800 pesos a month, when we will carry out the internship and social services in medical institutions that is why we ask for help, we do not want to be discharged because everything we carry and have paid for would go down”, stressed.
