The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has decided to postpone the matches of the 2021 World Cup from Minsk. So far, there is no official confirmation of the transfer decision.
According to the Swiss edition Watson, the leadership of the federation is now actively looking for a replacement for the capital of Belarus for the tournament. It is possible that the world championship will be held only in Riga.
There is a possibility that Prague or Bratislava will help to host the World Cup as the capital of Latvia.
Initially, the Ice Hockey World Championship was to be held from May 21 to June 6, 2021 in Minsk and Riga.
