PSG Pursues €180 Million Claim Against Mbappé Over Rejected Al Hilal Transfer
Paris Saint-Germain is seeking €180 million (approximately $195 million USD) in compensation from Kylian Mbappé, stemming from the player’s decision to decline a transfer to Saudi arabian club al hilal in the summer of 2023. PSG’s legal team presented the claim today to the Paris Labor Court, escalating the ongoing legal dispute between the club and the forward.
According to PSG’s lawyers, Al Hilal submitted a €300 million offer for Mbappé prior to his eventual move to real Madrid. The French club is now asserting financial damages related to the failed transfer.
This claim is separate from a previous lawsuit filed by PSG against Mbappé for €240 million, alleging unpaid wages, breach of contract, and damages incurred during negotiations surrounding his departure. That case remains before the Paris court, with a future hearing date yet to be resolute.
Mbappé ultimately joined Real Madrid after his contract with PSG expired. The legal battles highlight the complex financial and contractual issues surrounding the player’s exit from the Parisian club.
