Mayor wants clarity about treatment process for crossbow shooter Almelo | Inland

According to the police, the women are 70 and 52 years old, both from Almelo. The oldest victim is a neighbor. The 52-year-old woman is said to be a relative of hers who was visiting.

K. Has been hospitalized several times for psychological problems. He is said to suffer from psychosis and to have walked naked through the city several times. The neighbors in the porch house where K. was arrested also had the impression that he was not doing well.

“There are many questions, especially from relatives of those involved,” says the mayor. He continues: “I also have those questions. We therefore believe that a thorough investigation should be carried out into what was going on with the suspect. That is of course also part of the criminal investigation that the police and the Public Prosecution Service will conduct.”

The mayor also appeals to the health authorities that have recently been involved in the treatment of K. “I trust that every authority that has had contact with the man in recent months will take the responsibility to check for itself how things are going. acted, how contact has been made and how mutual cooperation has gone,” the mayor told the regional channel.
