Mayor of Reynosa denies having received money from Emilio Lozoya

Reynosa.- The mayor of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Maki Ortiz Dominguez, denied knowing the former director of Petróleos Mexicanos, Emilio Lozoya, and therefore did not receive money to approve the Energy Reform when she was Senator of the Republic.

Ortiz Domínguez shared through his Twitter account a message in which he alludes that on a website he is accused of having received financial resources in exchange for voting for the reform.

“They lie. I don’t even know Mr. Lozoya and I flatly deny having received anything for voting for or against any reform or legislative instrument.”

Through an Internet page, it was reported that the then Senator received 1.8 million pesos for approving the Reform and also that there was a video where the now mayor was exposed, while holding a meeting with the former director of Petróleos Mexicanos.

However, so far, authorities in charge of the Lozoya case They have not made public if the mayor is involved or if there is evidence that she received money.

After this information on their social networks, the mayor was sought to request an interview, however, it was not granted.
