All shops in the center of Rotterdam were closed earlier by order of Mayor Aboutaleb. Aboutaleb intervened around 7.10 pm because it was too busy in the city.
Due to the corona measures, shops, except for groceries, may remain open no later than 8 p.m. Supermarkets in the center of Rotterdam are allowed to remain open until their normal closing time.
Today is Black Friday. Many shops offer substantial discounts. Earlier in the day, Rotterdam and Amsterdam already called for no longer to come to the center.
