While joking, presiden Trump also said in his campaign in Georgia that rival Joe Biden was the “worst competitor in history” despite higher polls.
The Republican president is 11 points behind Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate on Thursday (15/10/2020), although another survey in Florida shows Trump is only 3 points behind.
During the campaign in Georgia, Friday (16/10/2020) Trump, who was recovering from a corona virus infection, said, “fighting the worst candidate in American political history makes me depressed,” Trump said.
In a mocking tone he said, “Can you imagine if I lost? All my life, what am I going to do?”
“I would say, I lost to the worst candidate in political history. I don’t feel very well. Maybe I should leave this country, I still don’t know.”
In fact, even though the US only ranks 11th in mortality per 100,000 people, it is still higher than the UK, Italy and France according to Daily Mirror.
As well as reassuring his supporters that he will win this ‘battle’, Trump has said that Joe Biden will only drive Americans into unemployment and dismantle the police force.
While receiving ridicule from the incumbent presidential candidate, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, who campaigned in Detroit, criticized Trump especially how the 45th US president handled the Covid-19 disease he suffered some time ago.
“The longer Donald Trump is president, the more careless he is,” Biden said. He also repeatedly criticized Trump for refusing to wear masks.
“How many times have you seen him make fun of Biden in a mask?” said Biden. “Because he refuses to practice social distancing, he puts his supporters in such danger.”
