The information does not come from official sources but from Deadline, site widely recognized as being very serious. Thus, after the truly official announcement of the casting (which you can find here) a new recruit would be there but for only about three episodes, namely, Maya Erskine.
Also according to Deadline, she would have a supporting role in the live series on our famous Jedi master in exile.
The actress, who is also a screenwriter, is not a huge celebrity but was nominated in 2019 at the Emmy Awards for her writing work on the series. PEN15 available on the Hulu platform (owned by Disney).
