It was two years ago that the Swedish woman visited a beauty clinic in Stockholm.
Now she risks having to remove parts of her ass, reports the Swedish news agency Siren according to Expressen.
The reason is that a controversial remedy was used when the stump was to be enlarged. It is not specified what kind of remedy it is.
This ended with the woman getting a number of infections in the buttocks.
According to a complaint to the Swedish response to the Norwegian Medicines Agency, Läkemedelsverket, it appears that the woman asked the clinic for help when the infections occurred.
The clinic tried to remove the drug that was injected into the buttocks, but to no avail.

Right in the emergency room
Two months later, the woman ended up in the emergency room at a hospital in Stockholm, writes Expressen.
It is the superior at the hospital’s emergency surgery department who has submitted the complaint to the Medical Products Agency.
Here the superior writes that remnants of her ass injections leaked out of her ass, and that she had to be treated with antibiotics.
The superior contacted a surgeon in the plastic surgery department at the hospital to ask for help.
According to Expressen, the complaint states that the surgeon refused to treat the woman.
The plastic surgeon is said to have explained this by saying that the hospital would be “flooded by patients with complications from private, aesthetic surgery”.

Medical limbo
The woman’s condition only got worse and worse, and she eventually had to be put under anesthesia.
It was performed what the superior calls “rinsing and scraping” of the infected area of the buttocks.
After the operation, the woman was put on several courses of antibiotics.
The superior writes that the woman has been recommended a “major surgical procedure”, where parts of the buttocks are removed.
Reports unusual symptoms
– Should be examined
The superior writes that the woman has ended up in a medical limbo, as she herself will have to pay for the operation.
In the complaint, the superior comes with a clear speech to beauty clinics that inject the patients with the drug:
– The drug has been banned in the US since 2015, and should be banned in the EU. The clinics that defy this widespread knowledge, and that use the remedy, should be examined more closely.
