Máxima breaks royal Instagram records with recipe alfajores | Inland

More than 5,500 responses had already been left by 1:00 PM Monday: from congratulations to a call to broadcaster Max to give the Queen her own program “Cooking with Max”. The bakery school announced that it had a place when Máxima wanted to switch careers. The recipe is also popular on Facebook: it has already been shared 4800 times and has 8400 responses.

Comments on Instagram, where the royal family now has 636,000 followers, are usually limited. Only on birthdays in the royal family does the counter skyrocket. For example, Amalia received 2869 responses in December and Ariane last month 2615. The record so far was 3762. These were condolences to the report of the death of Princess Christina last summer.

The royal recipe has also been the most appreciated post on the Instagram account since Monday afternoon. The record was for the family photo posted at home on King’s Day (99,125 likes), but Máxima’s alfajores surpassed that number in less than a day (100,073). The message that the Oranjes sent out on Saturday for the alternative song festival is third on the all-time ranking (80,066).

Movies are actually not often shared. Moving image is usually limited to the day story (“Your story”), which can only be seen for 24 hours. The most watched video is by far that of the royal family clapping for the caregivers: 327,381 times. Princess Ariane’s departure for her first day at the gymnasium was viewed 186,515 times, and a video about laying the carpet in the Burgerzaal of the Amsterdam palace 160,701 times.
