Maxi López Accepts Apology,Issues Food Donation Request After Unauthorized Image Use
BUENOS AIRES – Former River Plate player Maxi López has accepted apologies for the unauthorized use of his image, but coupled his acceptance with a request for a large-scale charitable effort upon his return to Argentina. López, who has 10.5 million Instagram followers, stated, “I accept the apologies,” and instantly followed with a call to action: “I am sure that when I go to Argentina they will prepare a good amount of food to go together, to distribute and donate to all those who need it.”
The situation unfolded after his image was used without permission, prompting the apology he has now accepted. López is preparing to travel to Argentina, where his three older children – Valentino, Constantino, and Benedicto - reside. His trip coincides with his confirmed participation in the upcoming season of MasterChef Celebrity, announced by his ex-wife, Wanda Nara, who will also host the show.
Nara alluded to their complex history during the program’s contestant reveal, stating,”This man is not that he went out with me,it is indeed more than that… There was exchange of everything. This man lived for a long time, as I was picket and didn’t wont to cook. We had sex and we did not take care of each other three times.”
Currently living in Switzerland with his wife Daniela Christiansson, their daughter Elle (2), and an expected baby, López’s appearance on MasterChef Celebrity marks a new chapter in his public life following a previously contentious separation from Nara, which has since evolved into a friendship.
