Rider Yamaha, Maverick Vinales, picking wisdom after passing Marc Marquez of Spanish MotoGP 2020. He looks at the next race with optimism.
At the Jerez circuit on Sunday (7/19/2020) evening local time, Vinales finished in second place. The former Suzuki rider finished 4.603 seconds slower than Fabio Quartararo who won. Petronas Yamaha SRT racer was devouring 24 laps with a record 41 minutes 23.796 seconds.
Actually, Vinales could start with a sip. From the second grid, the Spanish rider poked into the first position.
On the second lap, Maverick Vinales could not maintain a leading position. Rider Repsol Honda, Marc Marquez, is able to overtake Vinales.
That moment triggers Maverick Vinales to reflect. He could also find out the weaknesses of the YZR-M1 that were his mounts.
“After Marc overtook me, I was behind him, and I realized many things,” Vinales said as reported by GP One.
“Now, I know the side that needs to be improved looking at the next race. I clearly see which areas need to be improved,” said the Spanish rider again.
With the failure to become a winner in the Spanish MotoGP 2020, Maverick Vinales still hasn’t recorded a victory at the Jerez circuit when it has risen to the MotoGP class. The 25-year-old rider won the first podium in 2013, while still racing on Moto3.
MotoGP will immediately continue this weekend. Andalusian MotoGP series that was held, the circuit is still at Jerez. Mavercik Vinales has about four days to clean up in order to get maximum results in the second series MotoGP 2020.
