Mattersburg celebrates victory against Traiskirchen

Two days before SV Mattersburg set off for Portugal, the third test game of the Burgenland was on the agenda in the ongoing preparation. Third division team Traiskirchen from the Regionalliga Ost was a guest at the Mattersburg football academy. The SVM presented itself at temperatures below freezing in goal mood and came through goals from Martin Pusic and Viktor Olatunji (three each), the completely recovered Andreas Gruber (two) and Andreas Kuen to a clear 9-0 victory against Ex’s -Bundesliga coach Oliver Lederer trained team.

Christoph Halper, David Nemeth, Marko Kvasina, Fabian Miesenböck, Luca Pichler and Michael Steinwender have taken a break this time in the direction of the training camp. Lukas Rath and Patrick Bürger were absent due to illness.

“That was a very good test, we played very powerfully and presented the rehearsed samples well,” said SVM head coach Franz Ponweiser, “The opportunity exploitation was much better than last, although there were more goals after the break.”
