Materials probably from the remake / CD-Action leaked to the network

Recent leak of internal data from Capcom was quite a surprise to everyone, after all, it rarely happens that gigabytes of files related to any company go online. This brought a lot of information about the publisher’s future plans, including the approximate release date of Resident Evil Village (April) or news about other installments of the series.

Among them there is also a place for the still unannounced Resident Evil 4 VR and multiplayer production related to the series. At first, however, little was said about the remake of the cult “four” awaited by fans – a production that brought the Resident a real revolution. It is lifted to the skies by some, sincerely hated by others, but no one seems to doubt its importance for the entire brand.

After refreshing the second and third parts, the existence of the Resident Evil 4 remake seemed obvious, so it’s no wonder that we’ve been hearing rumors about it for some time. According to reports from April the game is actually in production, and recently it was suggested by Nick Apostolides, the actor who played Leon in the original.

Due to the aforementioned leak, assets (models, textures, etc.) that most likely come from Resident Evil 4 Remake hit the Internet. They are not signed in any way, but fans quickly noticed their striking resemblance to the materials from the title released 15 years ago. However, it is difficult to judge anything about future production on their basis.

The refreshed version of the “four” has still not been officially announced, but we can probably safely assume that it is actually being created or – in a less optimistic variant – at least for some time.
