Massive COVID-19 vaccination center to open in Flagstaff – Telemundo Phoenix / Tucson

PHOENIX – Northern Arizona will open its first state-run COVID-19 mass vaccination center, authorities announced Friday.

Operation will begin April 19 at the University Union Fieldhouse at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, according to a Press release.

With this new center, there will be seven locations administered by the state, and the number of locations outside the Phoenix metropolitan area increases to three.

“We will continue to expand vaccination opportunities statewide as the supply of vaccines increases,” Gov. Doug Ducey said in the statement.

According to experts, the discomforts occur between 12 and 16 hours after receiving the injection.

The new site, a partnership of the Arizona Department of Health Services with Coconino County, NAU and Northern Arizona Healthcare, will start from 7 am to 5 pm seven days a week and we offer about 1,000 appointments daily.

Flagstaff will join Tucson and Yuma as home to state-run mass vaccination sites outside of the Phoenix area. In addition, the three public universities in the state will have seats before the end of the month.
