Mass Effect remasters are likely to be released next year

There have been very persistent rumors of Mass Effect remasters lately, which would even be released on October 15th. Unfortunately, it looks like they won’t be released until next year anyway.

According to Venturebeat Mass Effect’s possible remasters have been postponed to next year.

The remasters, entitled Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, have been leaked several times from stores and insiders. The games were initially expected to be released in October, but according to various sources, the collection has been moved to 2021.

“The primary factor holding back development, besides the pandemic, is the original Mass Effect game,” said Venturebeat. “That game is currently not of the same quality as the rest of the pack. It would make a poor first impression on new players and it could potentially disappoint fans who would not experience the impressive upgrades for Mass Effect 2 and 3.”

In addition to the graphics, Bioware and EA would also adjust the gameplay of the RPGs. Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode would also be missing.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition has not yet been officially announced and is set to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
