Masks no longer mandatory in the United Arab Emirates; Relax in the covid restrictions

Dubai: Further relaxation in Covid conditions announced in the United Arab Emirates. Masks were avoided in most places, including schools. However, masks must be worn in churches, hospitals and public transport. Social distancing in mosques was avoided. The new concessions will come into effect on 28 September. The easing was announced after a significant reduction in the number of Covid patients in the country.

The duration of Greenpass was extended to 30 days while running the PCR test. Those affected by Covid only need five days of quarantine. Food handlers and those with symptoms should wear masks. There is no need for teachers, students and staff to wear masks in schools.

Masks are also not mandatory on flights. However, airlines can take appropriate measures in this regard. Previously, masks were allowed in public places. However, masks were mandatory in enclosed spaces. The eases were announced the thousandth day since the first Covid case was reported.
